Carleton University Amateur Radio Club - CUARC

Amateur Radio is a hobby and a service in which participants communicate with other radio amateurs for public service, recreation and self-training.

The club activities involve training members to set up and use the radio equipment, to run and maintain the radio station, and talk with other radio amateurs around the world! In addition to that, members will learn about satellite communication, radio transmission, and building small scaled radio equipment. The club also participates in local and worldwide Amateur Radio competitions.

While practicing with the equipment and learning about radios, members prepare for the amateur radio license exam. A license which gives you the chance to contact people around the globe and also looks great on your resume!
